Tracie covers Capitol Hill and the Obama administration for the NBC News Channel, a network service that provides Washington news daily to Early Today, MSNBC, foreign broadcasters and local morning newscasts on NBC stations across the country. She also travels to cover major international events such as Olympics, the Royal Wedding, the selection of Pope Francis and the death of Nelson Mandela. After working as an anchor and a reporter at local NBC and ABC stations, Tracie joined NBC in 1997 and was based in Los Angeles before coming to Washington. Tracie has been a fellow of the National Press Foundation, the Poynter Institute and the Journalism Center on Children and Families, and she was awarded the Michele Clark Fellowship by the Radio and Television News Directors Foundation.
