Jodi is the database editor in sports in the Washington bureau at USA Today, a position she has held for four years. Her work involves investigative reporting, analysis of public records and the creation of searchable online databases on such topics as as athletes’ salaries. Among the issues she has examined are how Division I athletes cluster in certain majors and why athletes frequently fulfill court-ordered community service obligations by signing autographs. Previously, she was an investigative reporter at The Detroit News. She has received numerous Associated Press and other awards.
