Jayne’s investigative and consumer reporting covers health care, auto and product safety, retail and fraud. In 2011, she spent eight months on an investigation of unsafe cosmetic surgery practices that led to a new Florida law to protect liposuction patients. In 2012, her work helped prompt the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s plan to require black boxes in all vehicles. And in 2013, her work highlighting an alleged pyramid scheme that preyed on the unemployed and illegal immigrants contributed to the decision by Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general to shut down Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing.
