DeNeen is an award-winning staff writer at The Washington Post.  She has covered night police, education, courts, politics and culture.  She has written about the black middle class, poverty, the homeless, arts and gentrification. As a foreign correspondent, DeNeen traveled throughout the Arctic to write about climate change and indigenous populations.
