Voice of America and Time

A media consultant, David has been the director of the Defense Department’s media operations group (which includes the American Forces Network-AFN, the Pentagon Channel and Stars & Stripes, among others), and director of the Voice of America, the U.S. government’s international broadcasting service. He also spent a year at the State Department as a speechwriter. Prior to that, he spent 23 years at Time magazine, where he was a correspondent and bureau chief in the U.S. and abroad. He started his career as a newspaper reporter for the Chicago Daily News.
