Before retiring in 2014, Bob was a Washington-based radio correspondent for CBS News, covering Congress and national politics. His reports were heard on CBS Radio affiliates around the country. He began his career in 1974 with UPI Radio, working in New York, Dallas and Los Angeles. He moved to Washington with NBC Radio before joining CBS in 1998. Bob covered every presidential campaign from 1980, when he traveled with Ronald Reagan, to Barack Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012. In his 40-year news career he also reported on topics as varied as earthquakes and the Academy Awards. He is the author of "Kidnapped by Nuns: And Other Stories of a Life on the Radio," published in 2015.
