Arnold, known as Skip, is an author, freelance writer and editor, and journalism instructor. A reporter and an editor at The Baltimore Sun for almost two decades, he was a foreign correspondent for more than two years in Latin America and for six years in Vietnam and Hong Kong. He also spent three years as a national correspondent in the paper’s Washington bureau. Since 1999, he has taught journalism seminars in nearly 20 countries. He is the author of Without Honor: Defeat in Vietnam and Cambodia, published in 1983, and Vietnam Shadows: The War, Its Ghosts, and Its Legacy, published in 1997, and has contributed to other books and major newspapers.
