Melissa is a senior producer at NY1 News, Time Warner Cable’s 24-hour news station for New York City. Over the last decade Melissa has been the writer, producer or executive producer for reports as diverse as the first, fifth and 10th anniversaries of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Pope Benedict XVI’s mass at Yankee Stadium, the "Miracle on the Hudson" landing of a US Airways flight, and the prostitution scandal involving then-New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer. In addition to producing four hours of news a day, Melissa runs NY1’s intern program, working over the course of a year with nearly 100 students in college and graduate school.
