Diane Nottle

Diane coaches international students at the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism, where she founded the English for Journalists blog. She spent 35 years in daily newspapers, including 20 years as an editor at The New York Times specializing in arts and culture, and also worked at The Boston Globe, the Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat & Chronicle and The Roanoke (Va.) Times. She has taught journalism at Jinan University (Guangzhou, China), the University of British Columbia, Colorado State University and Emerson College. She has also taught “English for the Media” and other courses at the University of Lower Silesia in Wroclaw, Poland, most recently as a Fulbright senior specialist in 2016. She is the author of the “American English for World Media,” published in 2016.
