Geraldine Baum

Geraldine Baum is senior vice president for communications and marketing at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a nonprofit that focuses on community transformation. She joined LISC in 2012 after 22 years at the Los Angeles Times, where she served as bureau chief in New York and Paris and also reported from Washington. Baum began her journalism career at The Miami Herald and spent seven years at Newsday, where she was part of a team that won the Pulitzer Prize for General Local or Spot News Reporting in 1984. Before joining the NLP board, she was a member and the chair of NLP’s New York City advisory committee.
